Monday October 8th, 2018

On October 6 and 7, 2018, COLOR CENTER participated in the 100-kilometer solidarity race known as ONCOTRAIL.

The purpose of the Oncotrail is to raise funds to improve the living conditions of cancer patients in the regions of Girona and their families.

With a donation of 1,000 euros to Color Center we wanted to be part of this great charity project.

One of the characteristics that makes this test special is that the entire organization is run by volunteers, more than 500, who are involved in all areas: assistance in supplies, physiotherapy service, podiatry service, health care, forestry, etc … Thanks to this implication, the money collected can be used entirely to improve the living conditions of cancer patients and their families.

The money is mainly used to cover the needs of hospitals in Girona, which can not be reached by the administration, such as the renovation of beds or armchairs for chemotherapy rooms, but a part is also dedicated to the investigation of the disease within the Institute. Catalan Oncology (ICO) of Girona and another to the services that the Foundation offers within hospitals

Thanks to Color Center and the rest of the participants we have obtained :
€ 287,352.03

We have made a mark! 21 hours, 26 minutes, 18 seconds!

We are already thinking about the Oncotrail 2019 !!! We will get over it!

The ECO-DWOR project aims at:Noticia_EUROSTARS

  • Manufacturing a novel Fluorine-free Ecological Textile Finishing Agent (based on inorganic nanomaterials and bio-based organic polymers with controlled micro-structure).
  • Optimizing the associated application method to produce textiles with durable water and oil repellency.
  • Combination of different finishing systems for the production of Durable Water & Oil Repellent (DWOR) textiles with advanced functionalities for technical textiles, comfort and sportwear.

The objectives of the Eurostars-2 Programme are to promote market-oriented transnational research activities in any fields of research and development performing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), leading to the placing of new or improved products, processes and services on the market, as well as to contribute to the completion of the European Research Area (ERA) and to increase the accessibility, efficiency and efficacy of public funding for research and development performing SMEs in Europe.

NEW ECO-DESIGNED POLYURETHANE DISPERSIONS FOR THE TEXTILE SECTOR (ECO-PUD)

Thursday March 1st, 2018

02/2017, CDTI (Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial) has approved the project “NEW ECO-DESIGNED POLYURETHANE DISPERSIONS FOR THE TEXTILE SECTOR (ECO-PUD)“. This project is led by Color Center, S.A. in collaboration with Leitat Technological Center and consists of the development of a new range of waterborne polymer dispersions for application in the field of advanced textile coatings. This research work focuses on the ECO-Design of high-performance polymers based on Bio-Building-Blocks, free of heavy metals and cosolvents harmful to health and the environment.
